On 11 September 2021, the 13th conference of the Japan Wetlands Society was held online. INTEM consultant Yuki Ozaki made an oral presentation on the results of the “Oze Monitoring Tour Project” that the Frontier Business Section worked on in 2020, and received the conference presentation award.
Presentation title: Why are there so few inbound tourists to Oze national park? ~Evaluation by foreign monitors~
In the project, we fed back the evaluations from the foreign monitors to the local organizations concerned and proposed necessary measures to attract inbound visitors.
As a result of this project, Oze National Park has started to provide English language training for nature guides (INTEM conducted the instruction) and is making progress in its preparations for accepting inbound visitors.
We hope to continue to contribute to the revitalization of the region.
