CSR Activity

Training Section/Dispatch of Instructors

If you are working in the business development office of a company, or are a university, junior high or high school student, we can offer you an effective training program covering the actual state of international cooperation activities, essential knowhow and the needs of client countries, etc. This training utilizes the knowledge network that we have built up through our technical cooperation activities with developing countries and other activities. Our instructors are all currently working as development consultants and can utilize their varied backgrounds and expert knowledge to respond to a wide range of training requests.
In addition, in recent years our instructors have received numerous requests for topical training in their fields of specialty, and we have a well-developed training system. Please feel free to contact us with your training requests.

Area

International Cooperation/SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)

This activity is targeted towards organizations such as private companies and chambers of commerce that are considering overseas expansion into developing countries. Instructors with extensive local experience will provide lectures explaining the business trends, human resource utilization, and points of caution from a cross-cultural perspective when conducting business activities in the target countries, while providing information on local conditions. Also, for companies that would like to contribute to local societies through their services and products, our instructors will conduct lectures from on corporate business strategies from the standpoint of SDGs. We also have a course for students who are interested in careers in the international cooperation field.

PCM (Project Cycle Management)/Project Evaluation

We conduct a PCM training program for person working in development in public and private organizations, development consultants, and others involved in development assistance activities such as NGO personnel. This training allows persons involved in development work to obtain the necessary basic knowledge in the areas of development project planning, project operation, the method of problem analysis that will become necessary for monitoring & evaluation, and the formulation of PDM (Project Design Matrix). The instructor in charge has over 20 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation.

Natural Conservation

For a target group that ranges from children to adults, we offer an environment education program focusing on natural conservation, with a special emphasis on the promotion of the wise use of wetlands. Also, targeting organizations such as local governments and private companies, we provide examples of nature-based economic revitalization and tourism activities. We are also able to offer lectures/trainings concerning the possibilities of collaboration between companies and NPOs.

Fishery Development

Targeting overseas human resources, INTEM has worked as a contractor to conduct JICA and UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) trainings. regarding fishery resource management and fishery product quality management, and aquaculture technology. Working in partnership with domestic fishing ports, aquaculture research organizations, food processing factories and private aquaculture facilities, INTEM has determined optimal training programs based on client needs and conducted effective training sessions. We also provide lectures for students specializing in fields such as fishery or water environment protection who are interested in learning about international cooperation or examples of overseas activities.

Education

Consultants familiar with extensive experience concerning the status of and issues faced by educational systems around the world, including Asia, Africa and South America will conduct the lectures. Concerning countries around the world, a wide range of lectures are possible covering basic education, higher education, vocational training, non-formal education, and programs working to achieve SDGs. Also, in the area of cross-cultural communication, training regarding teaching methods of online Japanese language instruction for local governments, private companies, NGOs, etc., working to support the Japanese study of foreign workers living in Japan is available from a consultant with experience as a Japanese instructor.

Gender

Now, for organizations or projects, conducting operations from the perspective of consideration of gender and diversity has become a necessity. Concerning, gender, LGBT rights and diversity, etc., lectures will be conducted that incorporate worldwide trends and the status of developing countries. We will offer lectures that make it possible to conduct projects and build organizations with diversity, based on the provision of accurate information.

The President of INTEM Consulting Inc. Doctor of Fisheries Science, Professional Engineer (Fishery Sector).He is a technical expert in fish aquaculture and natural conservation,and as a technical consultant he has over 35 years of experience in 40 countries.

Akira Maekawa
Instructor Profile

During his career as a consultant he visited 78 countries. He had extended stays in Cambodia, Indonesia and Madagascar, and has in-depth knowledge of the influence of subsidy programs on the societies and economies of developing countries.

Manabu Echigo

He holds a doctorate degree in Marine Science (Fisheries Science) from the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology. He is an expert in the fishery resource management and fishery development of developing countries. Beginning with the island countries of the Marshall Islands and the Maldives, he has extensive experience in regions including Southeast Asia and Africa.

Tomoyuki Minamiyama
Instructor Profile

Focusing on the Small and Medium-sized Manufacturing Enterprise Finance Promotion Project, he has been engaged in the support of the overseas expansion of small and medium-sized businesses. He specializes in communication technology. He has conducted lectures and published reports in the fields of creating added value for corporations and revitalization of local economies.

Born in the United States. After obtaining an MBA, he came to Japan as an English language instructor. Reiko Nakamura

She was first Japanese person to receive the Ramsar Wetland Conservation Award (Educational area). As the former secretary-general of the Ramsar Center Japan she contributed to the promotion of the conservation and wise use of wetlands in Japan and Asia.
